This is a large antique dinner plate in the Booths Dovedale pattern.
On the back of the antique dinner plate are the backstamp markings of the Booths logo made in England Dovedale A8044.
The colours are rust and blue on a white background and decoration of gold gilt.
Circa early 1900's.
Measurement Booths Dovedale Dinner Plate: 10 3/8" (approx.) in diameter. On the back of the dinner plate the back stamps reads Made in England and A8044.
Condition of Antique Dinner Plate: Overall good condition with some crazing on the front of the dinner plate. There is more crazing on the back of the dinner plate. Please view all photos.
As well, there is some some light surface scratching from utensils wear consistent with use and some tiny manufacturing blemishes.
The gold gilt seems to be in very good shape with some small minor wear.
The antique Booths Dovedale Dinner plate Imari pattern is quite striking with heavy gold gilt designs and is in traditional Imari style colors of cobalt blue and rust. The design is of flowers and leaves in both blue and red. The designs are on a white background which makes the colors really stand out.
