Here is an antique teacup and saucer (set) in the Booths Dovedale pattern.
On the back of the cup are the backstamp markings of the Booths logo, made in England, Dovedale, A8044.
The colours are rust and blue on a white background and decoration of gold gilt.
Antique Booths Dovedale Tea Cup Measurement: 3 1/2" in diameter. 2 1/2" high.
Antique Booths Dovedale Saucer Measurement: 6" in diameter.
The antique Booths Dovedale teacup and saucer pattern is quite striking with hand painted areas and heavy gold gilt designs.
Antique Booths Dovedale teacup and saucer Condition: The 2 pc set is in very good pre-owned condition & I do not see any obvious wear.
There are some slight surface scratching from utensils wear consistent with some use & tiny manufacturing blemishes, only noticeable on very close inspection. There is some wear to the bottoms from rubbing on the shelf. Minor wear to the gold gilt on a few of the pieces.
The design on the antique teacup and saucer set is of flowers & leaves in both blue and red in the traditional Imari syle colors of cobalt blue and rust.
Gilt gold trim is around the rim, handles and on the design directly. It also has the Imari style colors of cobalt blue and rust on a white background. The saucer is beautifully accented with gold gilt on the edges as well as on the Imari design.
