This listing is for a handmade bobbin lace handkerchief border and the lace edging was removed from a handkerchief. There are large floral flowers in each corner. The lace handkerchief border I believe is handmade antique Brussels Duchesse bobbin lace trim.
Bobbin Lace Handkerchief Border Measurement 12" x 12" square. 1 2/8" wide at the narrow sides. 2 1/2" wide at the corners
Color: Cream
Bobbin Lace Handkerchief Border Condition: Overall very good condition. I saw 2 tiny breaks in the lace please see the photos. There may be other minor breaks that were not obvious to me.
I am a beginner in regard to some handmade lace identification. In looking at the closeups it looks to be handmade however please use the photos as your guide.
If anyone has further information that would be helpful in the identification of the lace I would be very grateful to gain experience from your knowledge.
