This is a antique show display towel that features lovely hand embroidered work and a monogram initials of D F and number 2. Also, a fringe at each end of the towel.
The hand embroidered flowers border are at both ends of the antique towel and are done in embroidery colors of red, blue and black.
The linen fabric is still stiff and I do not believe that the towel was used. There is quite a bit of age storage staining and so the buyer will need to soak the towel or perhaps treat it to remove the discoloration.

I believe that this is a towel as when hung the good side of the hand embroidery work would be displayed. Otherwise, if used as a runner one end would have the good side of the embroidery and the other would show the reverse side of the embroidery work.
Condition: As mentioned, much age storage staining. A small cut at the selvage edge (see photo). There is a black stencil number (see photo). Also, there looks to be a tiny bit of loss to fringe at one end.
